My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Fern! We aren't sure what her life looked like before coming to us initially, but we have a feeling it wasn't a positive experience. Because of this, Fern takes a lot of time to warm up and trust people. This could look like hiding to feel safe, being nervous to eat, and getting startled by noises. It's a big, scary world for Fern, but who could blame her? She requires a very patient and loving adopter, but we know this person is out there. We've seen glimpses of what she has to offer, and we hope someone is willing to give her that chance, too. The little tail wag she gets when she sees the leash. The way she rests her legs on your lap when she wants to feel close to you. The way her ears perk up when you bring her a tasty treat. Fern is going to take time, but she is going to make the most loyal companion. The lack of human companionship is making the world scary for her right now, but once she finds that bond, she isn't going to let it go. Come meet Fern today!
