My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Well adopt a pet doesn't have a breed selection for beautiful but if they did this girl would be at the very top of the list. We also realize , that while being pretty on the outside, what's even more important is the internal beauty. And hers shines bright . You can almost see her sweetness from her short video. Also take not of her gorgeous golden color and matching golden eyes . Precious Angel Remiis Josie trained, walks very nicely on leash, she's house trained, she is very gentle with small children and loves other dogs . Currently she's in a foster home in Memphis, Tn. Once an application has been submitted and approved , the foster mom will be available to you to answer any questions , request videos, photos, etc. All of our pets travel to the northeast via Rescue Vet Transport. They leave Memphis every Friday morning around 6 am and travel as far north as West Greenwich RI delivering newly adopted pets. If you would like to make Remia part of your family please follow the link below to our adoption application. Transport is an additional $185. As always, thank you for adopting!
You will find that out volunteer team is very responsive . We spend countless hours reviewing applications, calling vets , references , doing our due diligence to make sure it's the right fit. We want to make sure that , prior to submitting your application, you are ready to adopt !

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process starts right here – you finding yourself your new best friend and family member. Once you have found one of these beautiful souls we ask that you complete an adoption application.

Once the application has been approved, the selection process begins. As with any adoption, we want to ensure our dogs are going into the best fit home – not only for them, but for you as well. Pet adoption is a big commitment and we want to make sure these dogs don’t endure anymore hardships than they already have.

The final step in the adoption process is the spay/neuter contract (assuming the puppy is too young or unable to be spayed or neutered at the time of adoption).

Once the adoption process has been finalized and we have received payment, we will make reservations for transport to your area.**Please note: Most of our dogs are fostered in Memphis, TN - our transport runs every other week to the Midwest.**

More about this rescue

We are a rescue based out of Memphis, Tennessee with fosters and chapters in various parts of the United States. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home as many homeless pets in the mid-south as we possibly can to save them from euthanasia. Their only fault...there are just too many. The euthanasia rate in this city is a staggering 79%. We watch perfectly healthy, well-adjusted pets be euthanized daily because there simply are not enough homes for them all. The solution...stronger spay/neuter laws and education but until then, these pets deserve a future too!
