Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Calling all German Shepherd lovers! This stunning boy is Maximus (Max), and he is the real deal. True to his breed, Max is the absolute epitome of courage, loyalty and grace. While he certainly has the striking features of a pure German Shepherd, this sweet boy quickly charmed his way into our hearts with his gentle and loving demeanor.
This handsome boy is so well-behaved and easy to handle, he is a favorite among our PAWS staff and volunteers. Walking Max is a dream, he saunters happily next to his person on a loose leash, and relishes in sniffing everything along the way. As you can see in the photos, he has the warmest eyes and kindest face, and he loves posing for the camera!
Max is highly intelligent, obedient, and eager to please. He learns new skills quickly and he is very motivated by praise and treats! We don't know much about his history, but his impeccable manners and unwavering affection towards people make us hopeful that he experienced love in the past. And while he adores all humans, Max seems to prefer the company of other dogs who match his calm and peaceful demeanor. He is much too dignified to play hard and rough house, he's more of a relax-on-the-porch type of gentleman.
At 6+ years old, Max has "been there, done that" and he truly deserves to live the rest of his years in a loving home. In summary, he is just a delightful and loyal companion who will bring joy and serenity to anyone lucky enough to adopt him. Come meet Magnificent Maximus and see for yourself just how perfect he is!
