Having owned Trigger his whole life, we bought him from a local breeder in Albany in January 2014. Trigger loves to play fetch, nose around the yard, go on walks and lay in the sun. He is excellent at letting us know what he needs (walking to the nearest exit to let us know he needs to go out and coming to us to let us know he needs food).
We are looking for a new home for Trigger that has experience with caring for dogs that do not do well around children and that can give him exercise, love and space as needed.
We have young children and since having them, Trigger has become aggressive and possessive over his food and indoor sleep spaces, along with our children being unable to pet him. We have learned how to support him but the continual stress of monitoring our children’s (and sometimes our own) behavior around him to keep peace, along with a planned move this summer, we are facing the reality that he needs more care and support than we can give.
