Max is an absolute joy; his enthusiasm, curiousity and wagging tail is in constant motion. He is a sweetie "to the maxx". He has one colorless eye and large velvety soft ears. He's a good and loving boy. Max started the first year of his life in isolation due to foster system-acquired distemper and even this didn't get him down. He was repeatedly rejected because people didn't understand his distemper associated "bounce", a condition which can persist well after surviving distemper. Max has been perfectly fine for many years and the "bounce" is gone. Max's owner acquired him at a year old and he has been a well loved member of this house. The owner recently died of a terminal illness, so Max needs a new family. Although he has not shown any signs of loss related depression or lack of appetite, Max will remain with the family until he is adopted to minimize the effects of loss of his beloved owner.
