My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nearly 5 years old. Get along well with cats and other dogs. I love going for walks, keeping you company when you do outside projects, and having car rides. My owner just had major medical surgery and is no longer able to care for a dog of my size.

I am a little over 100 pounds and my owners tell me I do not know my own size. For this reason, prefer a home with children who have experience living with large dogs. A fully fenced yard is also a must in order to keep me from wandering.

I was supposed to be a working livestock guardian dog but soon after I got here, the older dog who was going to be my teacher, died. They tried to teach me how to do my job but we kept misunderstanding one another. Rather than continue down this path, they decided to make me a family dog so I would not inadvertently hurt the sheep and chickens. I would love to be a guardian though so if you happen to have an older dog to help teach me the ropes, please consider me! I still have lots of years to work!
