Hi there! My name is Scooby. My sister Rainy and I came from a shelter in Upper Michigan for a fresh start. We are 2 years old. Our past wasn't a lovely place - we were removed from a neglectful home. We're trying not to let that get us down though! We are still as happy as can be! While we would love to have a home together in the future, we are not bonded. If you are willing to take us both though, we would love that! We lived with other dogs in the past too, but we are a lot of energy and may team up on another dog if given the chance. If we were adopted separately though, I could probably share my home with another dog. It just has to be a good fit. Between the two of us, I am a little more on energetic side than my sister. If you are looking for a fun and playful guy to go on adventures with, I may be just your dog! Come meet me at the shelter!

HSSC places animals on a first come, first serve basis. After an animal that is available for adoption has been met with, the animal’s name can be put on an application. Animals that are applied for must be adopted the same day or within 24 hours of the animal being placed on the adoption application. Exceptions will be made if any animal needs a medical procedure, but then will need to be adopted within 24 hours of being cleared from that procedure. HSSC reserves the right to accommodate alternate timelines for special needs/behavioral issue animals.
It is the potential adopter's responsibility to communicate with their landlord to contact HSSC for approval or to provide documentation stating permission within 24 hours of application submission.
It is also the potential adopter's responsibility to produce a current rabies certificate for their current dog(s) to conduct a dog to dog meet and greet within 24 hours of application submission.
