Edge was found near where a large apartment fire was that tragically left 22 people displaced. He was outside and had an injury on his tail so the office staff at the apartment complex assumed he was injured from the fire but no one was claiming him. After some digging- still had no one stepping up for him so they started looking for rescue help. Comments online have said he is a stray who someone would let in/out of their apartment there sometimes. While he may of not always been inside, he called this place home too. The good news is he didn't seem to have been in the fire or injured from it. He was in the right place at a very unfortunate time. He had two injuries, his tail and between his toes on a back foot. These wounds seem to be old bite wounds, likely from other cats. He is a VERY sweet and docile boy so he likely didn't fare well against the not so social kitties. Day one in his foster home he has shown he is a super chill dude who just wants love. With his life experiences, he is so deserving of a forever family to keep him safe!!

Someone will contact you to discuss the adoption process and set up a meet and greet with the animal you are interested in. All potential adopters will be subject to a home visit.

Kittens (under 12 months) $100*
Cats (12 months and older) $65*
Senior cats $45*
All Felines are combo tested, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, spayed/neutered, rabies vaccine and have received Revolution for flea and earmite treatment.
Puppies (under 12 months) - $350*
Dog (12 months and older) - $225*
Senior Dogs - $100*
All Canines are HW tested (if over 6 months old), vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, spayed/neutered, rabies vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, are on monthly flea and heartworm prevention, and also have a current Butler County dog license.
*Joseph's Legacy reserves the right to raise or lower adoption fees on certain animals. These adjusted fees will normally be added to the individual animal's profile. If there are any concerns about the adoption fee please verify with the adoption coordinator that has contacted you.

Joseph's Legacy is a foster based non-profit animal rescue that advocates for animals that have been neglected and abused. We also help find homes for homeless and abandoned animals.
