My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

LOCATION: Deberry, Texas
DOB: 03/02/2020 (Estimate)

Cookie is a captivating Merle Dane who is quite the looker. She is a true couch connoisseur, finding her bliss in snuggling up for some quality cuddle time and receiving all the affection her adoring humans have to offer.
With her gentle demeanor and impeccable manners, Cookie is a delight to have around. She'll sit patiently for a treat, delicately taking it from your hand with the grace of a true lady. While she may not have had much experience with leash walks, her innate curiosity and love for exploring nature make her a perfect companion for meandering strolls through the great outdoors. Her experience has been hiking off leash on a large property. With a bit of patience and commitment, she's sure to excel in learning proper leash manners. She's done great meeting and interacting with new people.
When it comes to mealtime, Cookie has been primarily free-feed, choosing when she's hungry and nibbling at her leisure. However, when it comes to high-value meals like canned dog food, she's fed separately to ensure fair distribution among her furry companions. If not, she may inhale hers and get pushy for her canine pal’s meals too. And while Cookie may have a talent for exploring the countertops in search of tasty treasures, her mischievous antics only add to her charm. She has counter surfing skills for days so she will train you to put food away.
Another fun quirk she has is her stubborn attitude- if she is on the couch and does not want to get up, she WILL NOT MOVE. You can tell her to move, but this strong willed beauty will NOT if she’s feeling defiant. Ha…but go grab the leash and put it on her, and guess who will finally get off the couch…silly Cookie! Her foster mom says she’s delightfully rotten in the funniest way. With her loving disposition and zest for life, Cookie is ready to settle down in her forever home. Are you ready to welcome this sassy, sweet sweet Cookie into your world?

Go meet their pets

Our rescues are scattered all over the United States in many different states. Scheduling a meeting would not be a problem. We hold many events throughout the year. You can find the latest news on our facebook page or website.

More about this rescue

To rescue Great Danes from neglect, abuse, and abandonment while providing medical care and individual rehabilitation through our experienced and loving foster home program until we are able to provide each rescued Dane with a qualified, caring, and permanent home that will ensure a good quality of life they deserve.

To assist owners that cannot afford spaying, neutering or heartworm treatment as funds allow while also educating owners on affordable, local spay/neuter clinics, spay/neuter benefits, vaccinations, backyard breeding, behavior, nutrition, and obedience. Additionally, we want to be a link point to other rescues and clubs. Raising awareness around rescues and the Great Dane breed is of great importance to us.

We have been rescuing Great Danes since 2011 and we take pride in the collective love, concern, and dedication we have given to the misunderstood and forgotten Danes. It is our mission to continue to be the voices of the less fortunate Danes and to provide them safety and their birthright to a quality of life filled with love and dignity. You can help us achieve our mission by donating funds, items from our wishlist, items of relevance, your time through volunteering, or by lending your home as a foster.
