Duke is a fluffy little chihuahua of just 1 1/2 years old that would love a chihuahua-friendly home to start over in. Duke was turned in by his family simply because they, "no longer want" him. Duke was in a home all his life so as you can imagine, he keeps a little guard up, being in a new, unfamiliar place. With Duke, all it takes is for him to meet you a couple of times, realize that you're a friend, then he'll bond you with you intently. Gaining his trust may take a couple of meetings with him but as you can see in his photos of him cuddling up to his caretaker, he can't help but love you in the end. Duke is housebroken and he's had training. He sits when asked, takes treats gently, he even stands and does a twirl! Duke is interested in checking out other smaller dogs but he'll need a home with no kids or cats. When Duke gets to know you, he's so affectionate, playful and happy!
