My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Treasure certainly lives up to her name. She is about 2 years old and has quite a tale to tell. Treasure was found at a dump by a volunteer at a rural shelter who was out walking dogs. Treasure approached the volunteer and even came up to the dogs. A very smart cat, she seemed to understand which dogs she could approach and which she should not. After coming into care, we quickly realized she was vetted and that she had likely been someone's pet and was dumped at the dump. In the few weeks since she has come into care she has learned to play with toys, loves to roll around and get pets. A sweet girl with a quiet little chirp, she has definitely shown that one man's trash is another man's Treasure!

More about this rescue

Cat Tales Rescue NC is the nonprofit rescue arm of Cat Tales Cat Cafe, which provides a unique and invaluable avenue for adoptions. The Cat Cafe environment allows us to get to know each cat and adopter individually enabling us to set adopters up for success which leads to happier adoptions. Even previously overlooked cats get a chance to shine at the café. At the Cat Cafe, cats get adopted quickly, which allows us to be efficient and cost effective, but most importantly, cause the least amount of stress on the cats.
