My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm Sydney, a 3-year-old AussieDoodle!!

I am learning to be an indoor dog at my foster home with one dog that's smaller than me and one that's bigger.

I'm super mellow and very quiet. I'm still a bit shy but my personality is blossoming with each passing day. I've only encountered one cat and I wasn't interested.

I love to follow my human around the house. I'm learning how to play with the other dogs and starting to wag my tail. I still get a little nervous with unexpected movements and loud sounds but I'm getting more comfortable every day...because of this I'd prefer a calmer home with older kiddos.

I have no desire to get on the furniture as long as I have a soft place to lay on the floor.

I recently got a haircut so my beautiful, non-shedding, super soft coat can grow back fresh and new. My groomer said I was a great customer. I walk perfectly on a leash, sleep all night in my kennel, and eat like a champ. I would love a forever home with a loving family.

Before applying please keep in mind that Sydney will require routine grooming. Applications processed in order received. Located in the KC area.

Our mission at ARF is to protect and advocate for animals in need; to build a humane community that promotes compassion and seeks to strengthen the human animal bond. We believe that no animal should endure the pain and suffering of a life of abandonment and neglect. We believe that through education, spaying and neutering, community outreach, and owner retention programs we can limit the overpopulation of animals and decrease the number of shelter animals in need. As human stewards of this Earth, we at ARF work to support and preserve precious life and strive to create a humane living environment for all animals.
