Just arrived yesterday! Comes complete with Basenji yodel!!! She is only a year old, high energy, likes toys, loves other dogs. House broken, crate trained(would rather be with you). Totally vetted hw neg.
Yes we walk on lead
Needs manners, training with boundaries. Marie would make a great sport prospect for lure coursing, agility or disc! She is a quick study and very very smart. And very fast!! Dog savvy person would be perfect, fenced yard is a must. Dogs that play hard are good too, lower energy dogs could be bothered with her, she is learning to adjust to other dogs.. this is a dog that has had no training what so ever and has done as she pleases. Basenji folk will know these are hard headed pups, so experience with that breed would be welcome! The future could be very bright with this girl with the right owner!! We are working on her social skills already. No two walks a day here please!! engagement and enrichment for this sweet girl, who is begging to know how to please you!! Currently fostered in Bradenton.

We require potential adopters to fill out an Adoption Application.When that is approved we can arrange for the prospective adopter to meet the dog they are interested in. We do require an adoption contract to be signed at time of adoption. We have a virtual home-check process (don't forget to submit photos of the exterior of your home!) Adoption fees range depending on the age of the dog. We do have dogs located at qualified fosters throughout the state and also out of state.

Since all rescue dogs live in foster homes, there is no single facility to meet pups.

We are a small, foster-based rescue organization located in Southwest Florida. Being small helps us give more one-on-one attention to individual dogs and their needs. Rescued dogs are kept in our homes and treated as our own. Herding dogs are unique. They are highly intelligent and require much of the owner’s attention. The dogs are evaluated, when they come into the rescue, for any temperament and health issues. Then they are given basic obedience, socialization and rehabilitation as it is necessary.
It is our sole purpose to find forever homes for these loving, wonderful dogs that have been discarded through no fault of their own. All adopted dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, micro-chipped, and on flea and heartworm preventative.
