Meet Sophie! She is a sweet, playful girl that had a rough start, but is now on her way to living her best life! Sophie is around seven years old but has the energy of a youngster. She loves to run around the yard exploring, and also loves to play with her toys. She literally takes her toys and “throws” them for herself - it’s the cutest thing ever!

She will do best in a home with a more passive dog or happily can be your one and only. She loves to have regular walks to channel her abundant energy. She loves all people and will want to be your shadow, as well as cuddle with you on the sofa when it’s time to rest. She has very good manners when waiting for a treat, and is working on basic commands and potty training. Sophie is patiently awaiting her new furever home - is that with you?

Additional adoption info

We require an application, application approval, meet and greet, home check, adoption fee and a contract.

2 months -12 months: $425
1 year - 6 years $375
7 years+ - $325

Adoption fee includes :

Shots up to date of adoption, wellness exam, fecal test,
Spay/neuter, Micro-chip and any other medical needed.

We also require to stay first on the micro-chip info for life and have a life time return policy on all our rescue dogs adopted out.

Unfortunately, we do not adopt out of state under any circumstances. We recommend that you visit your local shelter or dog rescues in your area if you are looking to adopt.

I.C.A.R.E. is an all breed, no kill dog rescue. We rescue dogs at risk of being euthanized from shelters, abandoned, abused, and stray dogs. We also rescue many owner surrendered dogs; which are dogs that can no longer remain in their current homes due to financial or personal issues. I.C.A.R.E. Dog Rescue is dedicated to reducing the number of dogs that are euthanized in our shelters each and everyday. We focus on rescuing and rehabilitating them in loving foster homes until they are adopted into their permanent homes. We also focus on educating the public regarding specific breeds, rescue, and general information regarding the canine species. We are a 100% volunteer run and supported organization that cannot survive without the help of loving fosters, volunteers, and benefactors.
