My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nellie is a sweet little breeder release who is slowly learning how to be a real dog!

She is learning all about soft beds, stairs, potty training, leashes, and life in a house with a family.
She is good with large and small dogs as well as cats!

Nellie is timid but she loves to be held and cuddled. It will take her time to relax and enjoy new people, but she definitely wants to be where the people are!
Nellie would do best in quiet home with older children and/or other small dogs. She is a small girl (10 lbs) and would love to be your new lap dog!

Before applying, please keep in mind Nellie will require routine grooming. Applications processed in order received. We are located in the Kansas City area!

More about this rescue

Our mission at ARF is to protect and advocate for animals in need; to build a humane community that promotes compassion and seeks to strengthen the human animal bond. We believe that no animal should endure the pain and suffering of a life of abandonment and neglect. We believe that through education, spaying and neutering, community outreach, and owner retention programs we can limit the overpopulation of animals and decrease the number of shelter animals in need. As human stewards of this Earth, we at ARF work to support and preserve precious life and strive to create a humane living environment for all animals.
