Please note that because all our dogs live in foster homes, we are unable to set up meetings with a dog unless we have a completed adoption application on file. Adoptions must be about within an hour of Wilmington, DE for our volunteers to be able to conduct an in-person home visit.
Meet Jaz! Jaz is a 12-year-old, 24 lb., mystery mutt who was found abandoned because his owners moved and left him behind. Scared and confused, we welcomed this sweet boy into our rescue.
Jaz received a dental and had a few lumps and bumps removed. He occasionally takes non-prescription medication for joint pain. This amazing pup is fully potty trained, can do stairs, and has no problems with his vision or hearing. He would do best in a quieter home with no small children or cats but would be fine with other calm dogs. Jaz walks well on a leash and prefers short walks due to his age. He happily sleeps in a dog bed and doesn’t require a fenced-in yard.
Jaz’s foster mom describes him as a couch potato. He makes a wonderful snuggle buddy and loves to cuddle close. Jaz enjoys being picked up and getting good scratches. He likes playing with toys and looks forward to mealtimes. Jaz needs a home where he will never get left behind again. Can it please be with you? Apply today!
