My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gracie girl has not had it easy in her short life thus far. She was found in a backyard, and the people who found her, unfortunately, decided they could not even bring her inside due to their allergies, and kept her on their patio, feeding her rotten apples because they did not know any better (or how to use Google, apparently, but I digress!) Despite this, resilient Gracie was able to somehow survive, and the finders reached out to us to find her placement. We were very grateful to have been notified, and even though we were not accepting surrenders (99% of shelters and rescues are over capacity!) we were able to make room for her.

Upon rescue, they handed her to us in a styrofoam packaging bowl with a rotten apple and fuzzy carrots. They did the right thing in reaching out to us, but it was a pretty horrible sight. Gracie was petrified, and I held her tight in my hands, promising her a good life from now on. Gracie, despite all that she's been through, is one of the happiest, friendliest piggies I've ever met. She popcorns every single day, just happy to be alive and taken care of properly. She is such a sweet, adorable, friendly gal who just needed another chance at life. We are so grateful to be that for her, and now, it's Gracie's turn at a forever family.

We hope to find Gracie a forever female buddy as well, to compliment her in her journey towards a loving, *forever* family. Guinea pigs do best in same-sex pairs, and Gracie is ready to buddy-up with a female piggy around the same age (she is estimated to be around 1 year old).

Do you have a single female piggy and feel like you could provide a loving, *forever* home to a gal like Gracie? Do you know someone who does? Share Gracie's story and adoption info, or reach out to us directly.
