My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Millie, a sweet and fun-loving girl with an infectious smile! Millie is an easy dog to please- all she wants is friendship and adventure in her life. A happy girl by nature, Millie’s zest for the everyday will bring such joy to your life.

Millie is around 3 years old, and weighs in around 55 pounds. We believe her to be an American Staffordshire Terrier, American Pit Bull Terrier mix. Millie is a rescue, so her exact age and breed are a mystery and cannot be guaranteed. We can, however, guarantee that she’s 100% sweetheart!

Millie is the perfect family dog, wonderful with children, and other dogs of all sizes. When Millie meets a child, she softens immediately, making herself smaller, slower and gentler to play with little ones. She loves playing ball, and even knows how to catch treats in her mouth, much to the delight of the children she’s played with!

She’s the perfect mix of fun-loving adventure dog and couch-potato lap dog. Millie zealously appreciates car rides, you’ll never have to ask her twice to “load up!” She enjoys her outside time, but her love of affection almost overrides that at times. Millie will spend hours sitting on your lap in the grass if you let her, just watching the birds and enjoying pets from her human.

Millie’s perfect home would have a backyard for her to sunbathe and exercise in, and lots of treats. Millie would do well with a doggy sibling or two, but could also thrive as an only-dog. She has such a deep desire for friendship, her forever family will feel her gratitude for the rest of her days.

Millie is crate and potty trained. Millie even alerts when she needs to go outside to potty. She’s exceptionally food motivated, and very responsive to verbal praise, which will make any further training enjoyable for both of you!

Apply to adopt Millie today, if you have any specific questions about her we would be more than happy to answer them! We are willing to test Millie with anything you need us to in order to ensure that she’s the perfect match for you. We can make anything happen! Just let us know.

*WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health.
*To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs.

The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is one of the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program, prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be!

Three Little Pitties Rescue just celebrated our 5 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 11,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be brought into our rescue program. Together, we can be heroes.
