My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chelsea is from a group of cats abandoned by someone we believe was breeding them. We don't know their history but all of the cats have the appearance of being British Shorthair mix. They appear to be in good health.

Chelsea has a lovely, very soft grey tabby fur coat with brown highlights, and amber eyes. We believe she is young to adult but don't yet have an age estimate from a vet. Chelsea is still a bit shy from the change of situation she's been through but we feel that she'll become a confident kitty. She is already loving being petted and is happy with her servings at mealtime!

Chelsea has been spayed and vaccinated. Her adoption fee will be set to cover these costs.

For more information regarding adoption of one of these kitties, you may call Meghan at home 530 474-1729 or text Judy at 530 209-5139.

Additional adoption info

We are in a rural location and cover a large area with small communities far apart. We tailor our adoption process to fit the needs of each adoption, whether it be a home visit or other specific situation. Adoptions are allowed to proceed only after careful checking of the situation for each animal.

RAIN Thrift store is open daily at the address above. Adopters can meet the pets there that are currently available for adoption. We're in the process of setting up with other websites to add our photos to expand coverage for our adoptable pets.

More about this rescue

Rescued Animals In Need is a no kill organization whose main focus is rescuing lost, abandoned, abused, neglected or unwanted animals and helping them find their forever homes. We work hard to reduce the number of unwanted dogs and cats by providing education and financial assistance (when available) for spay/neuter programs to help prevent unwanted and uncontrolled pregnancies for animals in our communities. Including a program for the voiceless and often ignored feral cats. We have full non-profit 501(c)3 status with the State of California.
