Snow and Truffle are a pair of senior bunnies who were given up when their owner moved. Snow is 13 years old, and his girlfriend Truffle is 8 years old. These wonderful bunnies were adopted from us about 4 years ago, however, we unfortunately discovered that their medical needs were being neglected when they were returned to us last week. Snow has been fighting an upper respiratory infection that has apparently been going on for quite some time which has caused his fur to become covered in his snot whenever he tries to clean himself. Both Snow and Truffle were also underweight when they arrived back here, but both have been making improvements in this area. Because of the condition we found Snow in, we were very worried that it may be time for him to cross the rainbow bridge, but after a vet visit, we are confident he still has plenty of energy and life in him! Snow still loves to hop around and snuggle with his girlfriend, Truffle.
We have cleaned Snow up as best we can to make him more comfortable, and he is currently on medication for the respiratory issues. Both Snow and Truffle required a lot of TLC in general when they first arrived, especially to get their ears cleaned out. We hope that both bunnies will find the home they deserve to spend their senior years surrounded by love.

Bunny Lu Adoptions, Inc. is a volunteer, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) domestic rabbit rescue and education organization located in Waynesboro, Virginia. We are dedicated to educating people about the joys of having a house rabbit(s) companion and promoting care that will give those companions the best chance at a happy, healthy, long life.
Bunny Lu also provides temporary foster care to abandoned and neglected rabbits and arranges adoptions into loving, indoor, forever homes. While we do not condone the surrendering of rabbits, we understand that providing assistance to those people trying to improve their rabbits' quality of life sometimes requires finding a new home for the rabbits.
