REBEL....A black Lab Mix, 4 years old, 70 pounds. Here is his rescue story ... "I was hoping that you could help me with a personal rescue (one based on a 40 year friendship) by getting the male lab mix into Keg. You ways give updates and it took a village to save this dog. Rebel came from Georgia with the help Of my husbands trucking company. He has been on antibiotics all infection is clear, he has finished heart worm treatment and is negative as of today. He had his shots today and will be neutered on Tuesday. All vet expenses are already paid. He does need a home without cats. He does well with everyone tested so far 3 years old and older. His life was horrible until he got to Tennessee. Had never seen a vet and he did have a shattered front right leg. It healed as best as it could on its own in Georgia. The vet says he will always walk with a limp but there is no need to remove the leg and the fracture was too old to repair correctly. I am sending you the vet records in hopes that Keg will accept him. Please let me know." I am with KEG Rescue as mentioned in Susan's bio for Rebel. A contract is required upon approval and adoption fees are paid through pay pal or directly to our vet and the transport company.

We are a foster based rescue. Our dogs-puppies come from various sources- individuals who must surrender their animals, unwanted litters, abandoned dogs, some from abused situations and we pull many from high kill shelters in West Tennessee. We started as a group of girls who wanted to make a difference. Today we have added a few guys and still our goal is the same. We also use part of the adoption fees to ensure all mothers we receive pups from are altered and offer when we can help to those who cannot afford to have their pet altered.
