My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet Poppy is still very young (about two years) and full of energy! She has some basic training but definitely needs someone who has time to work more with her. She's very "paws on" which can get a bit sore. She was adopted from a local rescue and originated in Mexico. She has some trauma with tall men and men with baseball hats so I don't advise dog parks (those are bad news anyways!). She is the sweetest girl and she loves hard and can be a bit protective of her owners! She won't hurt anyone but she will stand and guard her person. She wants lots of attention and needs to be properly worn out. She LOVES toys and will play fetch and tug of war for hours. She's used to having full day in/out privileges via an open slider door.
My husband and I are divorcing and he isn't home very much; he leaves her alone a LOT and it's breaking my heart. I'm not allowed to have her at my current rental and I'm also starting a job with 12+ hour shifts.
