Meet Riker, an approximately 2.5 yr old, small terrier mix (about 15 lbs). He has seen a behavioral vet (full report available for adopter), and has been assessed as friendly and workable; however, he does not like small children. Riker’s family describes him as loving and friendly, but he prefers to be the one to initiate greetings with new people. He would do best in a quieter home with NO KIDS.

Riker is dog friendly and currently lives with other dogs. His family believes he would thrive in a quieter home with no small kids, and understanding owners that will embrace that Riker may not want to interact with everyone.

The mission and vision of Hunter’s Village Rescue is to save dogs in need by placing them in loving forever homes. We are a foster home based nonprofit dog rescue located in the Hunter’s Creek Community (SW Orlando), Florida. HVR has identified a need in our community to assist, rescue, provide medical care, shelter, safety and love for abandoned and unwanted animals. We aim to instill in our community an awareness of these animals and encourage people to value animals while treating them with respect and kindness. We provide screening of all adoption applicants and assure dogs are placed into loving and nurturing forever homes. HVR provides these needed services through donations from our community and fundraising events.
