Lava is a 1.5 year old pittie mix who had a sad start to life and is timid with new people and things…. but the good news is that, she does open up in just a few short weeks 💕
She enjoys the company of other dogs and is more of a submissive playmate. She would be good with a chill dog or a more energetic dog that wanted to play with her a little bit.
Doing great with kennel + potty training, she’s very quiet. But you will see her sassy side at breakfast & dinner times… she is very food motivated.
This girl is the sweetest. She likes people, but is just still a little bit unsure about the world. She’s a great leash walker, just scared of passing cars, motorcycles etc.
Lava loves to be outside playing with sticks and toys. She has a really calm disposition and doesn’t jump on people.
She doesn’t deserve to wait any longer than she already has for her forever home & she’s ready to meet them. 🩷

There may be a trial adoption at this point. Once the trial is over, the adoption contract will be completed and adoption fee is paid.

Kitten adoption events are held most Saturdays at PetSmart (Wal-Mart shopping center) in New Bern from 11am - 2pm.
