Welcome sweet April to HSBC! This beautiful girl is very energetic and has a very similar look and temperament to an Australian Kelpie. However, we cannot be sure this is correct, she could also be a combination of lots of other breeds and excitable due to her age.
April came to us from the county stray facility after going unclaimed.
Pros: *Very friendly and cuddly, even with strangers *She appears to be very smart making training easier *Very active, would love to go for runs or long walks *Seems curious about cats but not overly interested--could potentially do well with dog-savvy cats if properly introduced *Loves to play with other dogs but is very much still a puppy full of energy
Cons: *We don't know much else right now since we don't have any history *She is still working on how to walk well on a leash and would do best with a harness *She is full of energy so she will need a home that can keep up with her needs
Interested in welcoming spry April into your home? Fill out our adoption application and if approved we will reach out within two days to set up a 60-minute meet-and-greet/adoption appointment. All dog adoptions come with one free week of training via the service GoodPup. If you are interested in learning more or would like to set up a meet-and-greet please fill out an adoption application on our website: www.hsbcpets.com/adopt

More about this shelter
The Humane Society of Barron County is a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter serving Barron County and surrounding areas.
Established in 1978 by a small but dedicated group of core volunteers, the HSBC started out with these volunteers taking animals into their own homes and advertising the need for forever homes for these animals. Over the years, since this humble beginning the HSBC has grown into the organization that it is today. From the homes of volunteers, relying on fundraising and the generous donations of our community, we have grown into and remain in our home on Guy Avenue in Barron.
HSBC is operated by a small staff and relies heavily on volunteers, as well as funds from donations, adoptions, memberships and fundraisers to keep our doors open for the animals needing our assistance.
We sincerely thank you for making this possible.
