My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Jolene, the spirited and sassy tan-colored, hound mix puppy who is eagerly awaiting her forever family. With her floppy ears, soulful brown eyes, and a coat that resembles the warm hues of a summer sunset, Jolene is a captivating blend of charm and energy.

From the moment you meet her, Jolene's vivacious personality shines through. She greets each new day with an irrepressible enthusiasm, her tail wagging with excitement as she eagerly explores her surroundings. Whether she's romping through the grass, chasing after fallen leaves, or engaging in spirited play with her toys, Jolene's zest for life is infectious.

But don't let her spirited nature fool you – Jolene has a heart of gold beneath her sassy exterior. She adores human companionship and craves affection and attention from her future family. Whether it's cuddling up for a nap or showering her loved ones with slobbery kisses, Jolene's affection knows no bounds.

Jolene's spirited demeanor can sometimes lead her into mischief, but her intelligence and eagerness to please make her a joy to train and interact with. With the right guidance and positive reinforcement, Jolene is sure to become a loyal and obedient companion.

Now, Jolene is on the lookout for her perfect match – a family who will appreciate her spirited personality and provide her with the love and care she deserves. With her boundless energy and undeniable charm, Jolene is sure to bring joy and laughter to any home lucky enough to welcome her into their lives. Could you be the one to give Jolene the forever home she's been dreaming of?

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All applications are submitted to an adoption board for approval to ensure a happy forever home for both owner and pet. In effort to reduce the possibility of the pet being returned, adopters are carefully screened to be sure that the personality of both the pet and adopter are a good match. We will be in contact with you during this process.

Puppies are ready to go home after their 2nd of 3 shots and spay/neuter are complete. A $50 deposit will hold the puppy of your choice. The 3rd. shot is included in the adoption fee.

All pets are to be kept as indoor, non-working, members of your family and are spayed and neutered before being adopted. These pets also receive all appropriate vaccinations and are microchipped.

A safe pet home visit is included in the adoption fee.

More about this rescue

Take Me Home Pet Rescue is a 100% nonprofit organization committed to reducing the homeless pet population by removing dogs and cats from shelters and other unfortunate situations and having them spayed, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped before being adopted to their forever families.

We consists of a small core group of volunteers who care about the welfare of our homeless pets. We are located in Richardson, Texas and survive solely from your generous donations and fundraiser's (after fundraiser...after fundraiser!). All of our pets live in our homes as we do not have an actual facility. Because they live within the dynamics of the foster families and are exposed to children of all ages and other pets, we find that that our foster cats and dogs are more adoptable as they have already been socialized to live in a family environment.

We have been in existence since April 2008 and have already rescued over 600 dogs and cats from local kill shelters and other unfortunate situations.

All dogs and cats are spayed and neutered before being adopted. These pets also receive all appropriate vaccinations and are microchipped. In effort to reduce the possibility of the pet being returned, adopters are carefully screened to be sure that the personality of both the pet and adopter are a good match.
