My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Animal Profile: Tootsie is estimated to be around 7 months old, 8 lb female chiweenie who was picked up as a stray in San Joaquin and taken to an outdoor kennel facility where she waited for a rescue. The animal control facility has no heat and no visitors except for food once daily Monday thru Friday. Tootsie is friendly with people and dogs big and small. We will share more info as we get to know her in foster care.

Foster Update: Tootsie is a very playful girl! She is interested in my dogs and will chase them around, but gets a little nervous by their size and will cry when they try to interact. She is a great walker and can go for miles, no problem! She also loves to play in the backyard or with a toy in the house.

Tootsie does not like her crate but is getting better with some simple commands and is now sleeping through the night in there without whining. She is working on potty training and with structure her accidents in the house are becoming less and less. She loves to cuddle on the couch with you and just wants to be close to people.

Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DG is a 501c3 organization.

Animal History: This dog is being transferred from San Joaquin animal control and arriving to Seattle area foster care on 03/17. This dog is fostered in the greater Seattle area and available for adoption once evaluated.
