My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾 Meet Buddy! 🐾

Buddy, possibly the happiest and friendliest dog you'll ever meet, exudes joy with every tilt of his head, capturing hearts during his behavior training sessions. At around 3-4 years old, Buddy's sweet puppy face and eagerness to play are irresistible.

A faithful companion, Buddy thrives in the company of humans and animals. He is fully potty and crate-trained, preferring the warmth of a snuggle to solitude. His playful nature shines when romping with his foster sister or engrossed in his beloved toys. With a balanced energy level, Buddy is in his element when out for walks, exploring new environments, or making friends with every person he meets, and his demeanor with children is incredibly gentle.

At home, Buddy is a curious observer of his feline friends. He enthusiastically joins their play yet watches them with a puzzled, endearing interest. He's excellent on a leash and responds well to commands. He is eager to please, especially when treats are involved.

Affection comes naturally to Buddy, making him a joyous presence in any setting. His name suits him perfectly; he's everyone's best friend, ready to envelop your life with cheer and devoted companionship.

In his interactions at home, Buddy is the epitome of good manners and a delightful house pet. He embodies a laid-back attitude interspersed with moderate bouts of playful energy, reflecting his ability to adapt to the household's rhythm. His patience and happiness are evident when engaging in training or play, and his confidence blossoms in new environments, making him an excellent companion for public outings.

Buddy expresses his needs through vocalization, whether it's seeking attention or responding to the playful antics of cats or the presence of other animals. He enjoys his spot on the couch as much as finding his cozy corner, demonstrating his versatile and easygoing nature.

With his love for car rides and excellent behavior on the leash, Buddy is a joy to take along on neighborhood strolls. He's making steady progress on remaining calm around other dogs. His eagerness to learn, combined with a strong food motivation, makes him a quick study. He's already familiar with a variety of commands and eager to learn more.

Buddy's exercise routine, including multiple walks and timely breaks, suits him perfectly. He shows contentment with both active adventures and serene moments at home. Although he hasn't had direct experiences with children in his current foster home, his friendly interactions with the neighborhood kids suggest he would thrive in their company.

As a confident dog who occasionally exhibits the caution of a rescued heart, Buddy's sweet disposition makes him an excellent addition to any home. He enjoys the simplicity of hard toys and the excitement of play, always maintaining his happy-go-lucky attitude.

Buddy's life thus far may have been a journey, but he stands ready, with a wagging tail and an open heart, to start a new chapter filled with love and happiness in a forever home. Buddy awaits the chance to become an inseparable part of your family and your forever friend, offering cuddles, joy, and a lifetime of adventures. 🐶💕

Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $62 surcharge for transport.
