Welcome Diesel! Diesel is a male chihuahua mix around 1 year old and weighs 9 lbs. He came from a very rough situation but he has really started to come out of his shell and is ready to be loved! He has some hair loss but it’s growing back in and soon he’ll have a beautiful long mane. He really likes to play with other small dogs once he’s gotten to know them and become besties! Diesel is working on potty training and getting better everyday. He has been neutered, microchipped, current on his vaccines and heartworm negative. Ready to go home with an approved application! Our hospital is open for adoption visitation Monday through Friday from 7:30 to 5:00pm and Saturday's from 8:00am to 11:00am. If you have any questions please feel free to call us at 919-266-8177 or email pets4adoption@bellsouth.net. All adoption fees are cash or check only, we do not accept credit cards for adoption fees.

To speed up the adoption process please visit our webiste, www.mmahrescue.org, to fill out an application and get pre-approved when you arrive to meet your new best friend! Prior to meeting an adoptable animal we do require an approved application to be on file, sorry for this inconvenience.

Cat adoption fees are $50 for kittens under 16 weeks of age and $75 for kittens/cats over 16 weeks of age. Dog adoption fees are $150 for puppies under 16 weeks of age and $175 for dogs over 16 weeks of age.

Additional adoption info

The dog adoption fee of $200 includes; spay/neuter, bordetella, dewormed, any age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm test(if old enough), and is current on heartworm prevention. The cat adoption fee of $100 includes; FELV/FIV testing, spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, & dewormed.
An adoption contract is required, references are checked, and an interview is required before adoption.

We are an animal hospital dedicated to the rescue and adoption of stray and abandoned animals. Dr. Covington is the owner of the clinic and has spearheaded an enormous effort to rescue as many animals as possible.
