My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Welcome Petey to CCPAL Foster Program. He is a 6-month old Lab/Black Mouth Cur puppy. He weighs about 45 pounds and is a wonderful puppy. His foster mom has enrolled him in doggy daycare and he is wonderful in daycare. He gets along great with other dogs. He is in foster care with cats and all his time around them is supervised. He has done fine with the cats. He is also a part of a training group and works to learn the basic commands. He is potty trained, good on a leash, doesn’t jump up, knows sit and is good in a crate. This puppy is very well rounded. He naturally bonds deep to his family and may be protective of his family. He is very very friendly to strangers and takes direction easily and well. He has a great attention span. He will make some lucky family a great companion. He would be best with a more active family over a couch potato type. He would be great with another dog or he could go as an only pup. He does love play time with other dogs. He would be a great pup with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states.Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. More about this rescue

C.C.P.A.L. seeks to reduce the enormous problem of pet overpopulation in Bandera County We promote low-cost spay/neuter programs; advise on basic health care & proper shelter for pets & offer excellent dog obedience classes several times each year. Since 2002, CCPAL has rescued nearly 5,000 animals. We are in constant need of foster homes for these pets until we find them homes. Our pets are in kennels on an acreage in Texas. We can use a transporter to get them outside of Texas if we find a great home.
