Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Chip is a super sweet, 16-pound, six-year-old, fluffy and cuddly, Pomsky (Pomeranian/Husky-x) lapdog looking for a loving guardian.
Chip bonds intensely with his people. He will be the love of someone’s life. He gets along with most dogs and the dog-friendliest of cats. He’s a bit bossy with other dogs, a hard player, and a bit of a humper.
He has lived in a family home and grew up with children. He loves all people of all ages. But, he was only recently neutered when he came into rescue with Friends of Petraits.
His family kept him in his own room and never housebroke him. So, he should be easier to train now that he’s neutered, but that is his biggest and only issue … housebreaking!
He is very quiet, so he could live in an apartment, condo, townhouse or house. He’s also fine in the car; although he may try to sit in your lap. He knows how to sit on command, but would love to learn more with you in a training class.
Chip is looking for a person, or couple who have the patience, time, and love to train him. Because of the training he’ll need, a home as the one and only pet to start out would be best!
He is healthy, neutered, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, heartworm-tested, microchipped, and on monthly heartworm preventative.
His adoption fee of $300 benefits the Friends of Petraits Rescue. To meet and possibly adopt Chip, please fill out an adoption application at https://friendsofpetraits.com/dog-adoption-application/ and follow up to meet him by e-mailing friendsofpetraits@gmail.com
He’s currently being fostered in Oak Park, Illinois.
