My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Caterpillar: Your Loyal and Playful Buddy! Caterpillar is mega smart. He stays right next to you while out and about, and he does not try to run away. His recall is on point. He turns around in his tracks almost immediately when you call his name and he comes to your side. For this reason, I think he would be a great dog for someone who likes to get out for adventures.
He is very well-behaved in his foster home. He is crate, trained, potty, trained, obedient, loads in the car and goes on rides, easy on leash, and great with all of their other large dogs and kids and people coming in and out of the house. He is fostered in a pretty chaotic environment and does beautifully because he is a confident boy And pretty laid-back.

Caterpillar is 55 lb, around 4 -year-old labrador mix who's ready to become your lifelong companion!

See his cute personality here and you will fall in love! https://youtu.be/Qvs_V-jYMu0?si=wAypBd-1Tj1bKiwK

Caterpillar is so cute and the perfect easy petite size. His little nub tail just wiggles back-and-forth because he is so happy to be with you. It’s his loving personality that truly sets him apart. He adores his people more than anything and will shower you with affection every chance he gets. He is extremely loyal! He will be there for you!

With his moderate energy levels, Caterpillar is always up for a game of fetch with his favorite balls or a romp with other dogs. He's great with kids and walks well on a leash, making him the perfect partner for outdoor adventures. While he may not be a swimmer, he loves splashing around in shallow water and exploring nature trails - he's the ultimate hiking buddy! He is also pretty agile. You can see this in his video. This has not been an issue with fences, however. Even when he is roaming on the Foster property, he does not leave the property. He comes immediately when he is called.

This sweet boy is incredibly obedient and listens well to commands like "shake," "sit," and "lay down." He's crate trained and potty trained, making him a breeze to care for. Caterpillar loves nothing more than cuddling up with his people after a long day of play.

He would do great living with kids, and other dogs, but no kitties please. With his affectionate nature and playful spirit, he's sure to bring endless joy and laughter into your life.

If you're ready to welcome a loyal and playful adventure buddy into your family, then Caterpillar is waiting for you! Come meet this wonderful pup and discover the magic of adoption.

*WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health.
*To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs.

The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is one of the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program, prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be!

Three Little Pitties Rescue just celebrated our 5 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 11,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be brought into our rescue program. Together, we can be heroes.
