Emily is looking for a great fur-ever home! She is a 10 pound, female shih-tzu born on 12/05/21. Emily was released by a breeder who decided they did not need her anymore and has never been bred. She has lived in a cage her entire life, so she is not house or leash trained. Because Emily is very skittish and fearful, she will do best in a quiet home with a patient, experienced adopter (with no young children) willing to work with her and let her get comfortable at her own pace. She will need a fenced yard with another calm, socialized dog to teach her the ropes. She is starting to show her adventurous side by exploring her foster home, enjoying looking out the window, and being outside.
Emily will be spayed at one of our approved vet clinics in the Chicago area prior to adoption. She is up to date on shots, micro-chipped, and heart-worm & fecal tested negative.
We require an application, phone interview, virtual house check, and meet and greet with your entire family.
