My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Wanda, adoptable bundle of joy with a heart of gold and the best ears on the east coast! Found under a car on a chilly morning, Wanda had three broken toes when she was rescued, but her spirit remains unbreakable! She's been thriving in foster care and she's looking to become the ultimate bestie for her future adopter. Here are the cliff's notes:

6 months old
26 lbs
Housetrained
Crate trained
Walks nicely on leash
Knows sit & stay
Social with dogs of all shapes and sizes!
Has shown curious and tolerant behavior around cats

Medically, Wanda has some ongoing needs. She gets eye drops twice a day due to a mild cataract in her left eye, and her vision will need to be monitored lifelong. In May, she'll have two more specialist consultations to find out if her vision deficits are being caused by anything neurological, and to make sure her previous bone injuries are healed and ready for a bouncy future.

Behaviorally, Wanda is a fan favorite and the most popular gal in town! She LOVES other dogs in general, but she does get possessive over food items so she should be the only dog in the home and would fit best in a home with no kids unless the adults are experienced.

In the meantime, Wanda's date card is open and she's looking to find true love with her future family…could it be you? GLDR will cover all costs for her specialist visits and spay/microchip (so adopters don’t need to worry about that)!

If you're ready to make memories, share new adventures, and add a whole lot of wiggly love to your life, look no further than Wanda! Submit a questionnaire to meet her or email us to get in touch with any questions!
