My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing... Minnow!

Minnow is the luckiest of cats. He was spotted by one of our foster parents terrified and in the middle of a busy street. As she was rushing to get to Minnow, he was actually grazed by a car, resulting in a bloody nose and some fractures to his teeth. Luckily, our amazing foster was able to scoop Minnow up and whisk him away to safety (and immediately to the vet!)

Minnow has been thoroughly checked out a couple of times and has been given a clean bill of health. He does have a couple of chipped teeth, but nothing needing removal at this time. You'd never know that he had such a traumatic beginning, because this guy is a goofy little monster just looking for L-O-V-E!

Minnow adores cuddles and churu. He's also a fan of water and will even consider hopping into the shower with you. He is very talkative and will tell you all about his day. After being fostered as a solo kitty during his initial quarantine period, Minnow finally got to meet another cat in foster and was THRILLED. Minnow has strong kitten energy - we think that he would love to have another cat friend in his forever home (or he could be adopted with his current foster-friend Stoop Kid!). He can get a little playful/nibbly if you ignore him, so he might do best in homes with older kiddos, or someone who knows how to distract him with a wand toy. He's known for getting the "poop zoomies" and will proudly race around the house to celebrate how much lighter he is post-bowel movement.

Minnow is estimated to be about a year old. He has been neutered, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, vaccinated, and has tested FIV/FeLV-. Are you looking for a cat with a big personality (and a big backstory?). Consider Minnow!

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Typically we talk a little with potential adopters to find a cat who is a good fit before sharing the application.

2.

Approve Application

We check over the application including checking vet references and doing landlord checks.

3.

Interview

We spend more time chatting with the adopters to specifically go over any questions from the application and details about the specific cat.

4.

Meet the Pet

Potential adopters have a meet and greet with the cat or kitten in the foster home.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

At the meet and greet, if all goes well, the adoption contract can be signed, the fee can be paid, and the pet can go home!

6.

Pay Fee

7.

Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

More about this rescue

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.

Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
