My name is Clove!

Clove is very sweet and loves to be petted but doesn't demand attention all the time, he is just happy just being near someone. He is house broken and crate trained. Sleeps beautifully through the night in the crate. He loves playing with other dogs and running around the yard. He will need to go to a home with another playful dog who is calm when meeting new people and also a fenced yard. He needs a little time to warm up to new people in the house and loud sounds can startle him. Because of this we think small children that could be loud might scare him.. He walks well on a leash for the most part but needs some leash training because he gets scared when he sees other people on a walk. If those people have a friendly dog with them, he's a little more comfortable. This might be different if he is walked with another dog. If the new people approach him it takes 5-10 mins for him to relax and stop trying to get away from people who are strangers to him. Even just walking by them is tricky for him. Busy street with cars don't seem to bother him. We believe that with the right training Clove will be able to get over his fear of strangers on walks.
