My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bubba is guessed to be a 3 yr old Catahoula/Boxer mix that is currently being fostered with one of our dog trainers that specializes in timid, shy dogs.

He is such a handsome boy, but for now he is still a bit nervous around new people. He loves his crate. It is his safe place.
His Foster mom is working with him on becoming more trusting, teaching him potty training and socializing. Her goal is to start leash training him soon. He will need someone to introduce him to the world slowly and give him time to adjust to his new life.

There are lots of other dogs at his foster mom's house so we know he is dog friendly, his foster doesn't have any cats but thinks he would be fine with them if introduced properly. She thinks he will need a home with a confident dog or in a quiet home with adults or older quiet kids only. He will need an adopter who will give him love and patience.

Please consider this handsome boy as a part of your new family. He will bring your family so much joy and a lifetime of love. The shy dogs become the most loyal dogs and LOVE LOVE LOVE their humans. He has so much love to give and is looking for his FurEver Home.

His foster mom is located in Fort Collins Colorado and wants to find the right adopter who is willing to help him continue with his training and help him gain confidence either with in person, or virtual training session(s). She will provide a discount on training. The amount of training needed will depend on the knowledge and experience of the adopter and how far along he is at the time of adoption.

Go meet their pets

Over 75% of our dogs are in foster homes along the front range. The foster will get in touch to schedule meetings for their foster dog. Meetings will happen in/near their homes since that is where the dog is the most comfortable. We do want you to bring family members (human and dog) to the meeting! Dogs who are currently at our Windsor facility will have meetings there and a volunteer will reach out to schedule those meetings with you. Please be aware that we do not place our dogs on a first come, first served basis, but rather a best-fit placement. Never fear, applications are valid for a year so if the first dog you meet isn't a good fit, we will have plenty of time to find one that is.
