My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bob,

Are you looking for a furry friend who has faced adversity with resilience and needs a patient and loving forever home? Look no further because Bob might just be the perfect match for you!

Bob is a courageous survivor of a house fire, and while he has overcome many obstacles, he is still on his journey to healing. Bob has emerged as a symbol of strength and hope. This handsome feline is seeking a quieter adult household with older teenage children who can understand his need for patience and gentle care. His traumatic experience has left him a bit skittish and slow to warm up, but with the right person, he's sure to blossom into the loving companion he longs to be.

One thing that brings Bob immense comfort is the company of other cats. He thrives in the presence of his feline friends and will need to be adopted into a home where there is already a resident cat to keep him company. Bob may be initially reserved, but once he trusts you, he's an absolute sweetheart. He's looking for a patient and understanding human who can appreciate his slow, gentle approach to forming bonds. Given time and a nurturing environment, Bob blossoms into a loyal companion, eager to shower his chosen person affectionately. What Bob truly desires is a cozy haven to call his own—a place where he can lounge in a warm bed, soaking up the sun's rays and snoozing contentedly. He dreams of lazy afternoons spent curled up next to his favorite human, purring softly in peaceful companionship.

Despite his past, Bob is making great strides in his recovery. Each week, he shows progress and even recently ventured into bed with his foster mom and the resident cats, proving that love and patience can work wonders. He recently underwent surgery for entropion, a condition where his lashes were causing discomfort to his eyes, but he's recovering beautifully and is ready to find his forever family. In his foster home, he has two beloved friends named Socks and Boppy. Together, they enjoy endless rounds of play, running, and snoozing in sunlit spots.

Bob is a bit active and mischievous at night, so he would appreciate a family who understands his nocturnal habits. Loud noises can startle him, so a calm and tranquil environment would be ideal for him to thrive.

If you're a compassionate and understanding individual who is willing to give Bob the time and space he needs to adjust, you'll be rewarded with the sweetest and most loyal companion. He may not hang out with you all the time initially, but with patience and love, he'll learn to trust and feel safe in your presence.

Additional adoption info

Thank you for your interest in Forever Fortunate Felines.  We are very happy to have the opportunity to match you with your purr-fect cat-panion!

Once you complete the online application using the below link, you will be able to discuss and ask questions directly to the foster parent.  We believe this is a big advantage to you as our organization is completely foster based, we really understand our cats personalities at a deep level.  This helps to ensure a great match with you and your family.

In order to get the process going, would you kindly fill out our detailed online application located here:
http://www.foreverfortunatefelines.org/adopt

Completing our online application does not commit you to adopt from our rescue.  Rather it helps us to understand your requirements and match you with the best possible cat or kitten.

Once you complete the application and it is approved, we can set up a meet and greet and if all works out, you may bring the kittens or cats home the same day.  Please make sure to bring an adequately sized pet carrier with you to your meet and greet.  We recommend a pet carrier which opens from the top as this is the easiest way to place a cat inside a carrier.  If you do decide to adopt, we do expect you to take home your cat the same day as there are so many cats and kittens which need to be rescued from high kill shelters, we almost always rescue a new cat or kitten the very next day.  If it is not possible for you to take your cat or kitten home the same day, we do charge a boarding fee of $10 per day for supplies and to encourage you to take your newly adopted cat home.  We will board for a maximum of 3 days if needed to allow you time to get needed supplies.

Our adoption fees are listed at the link below. This fee includes full vetting, flea treatment, de-worming, spay surgery, FeLV and FIV test, microchip insertion, and vaccinations up to date for the kittens or cats age.  We are able to PayPal or most major credit cards for the adoption fee.

We have streamlined our adoption process to make it easy!  Everything from the application, to payment, to the contract is online.  Additionally, all of the cats records will be placed in your free Petlovers account at petstablished.com to keep organized.
