Don’t let Poppy’s age fool you. This girl who is estimated to be around 10 years old is spunky. Her pictures make her look larger than she is as she weighs only around 18 lbs. Poppy, also known as Pop, enjoys her walks in the neighborhood, her adventures in the fenced backyard (lizards are a favorite entertainment), and, of course, her meals . Poppy isn’t a lap dog yet, but does enjoy being around you.! She especially likes to hang out in the kitchen when you are preparing food
On walks, she is very friendly with people who come up to say hi. Poppy could be an only dog or a dog in a home with others (as she lives in a home with 4 other dogs). Poppy can be outspoken sometimes with other dogs which can be funny to watch…. little dog complex lol. Poppy does have a prey drive so no cats for her. Children 10 and up for her would be best! A few months ago, Poppy got spayed and had a whole side of mammary glands removed as it was discovered she had breast cancer. Her biopsy results are good and she has a grade 1 for her cancer results. Due to this, her other side of mammory glands will need to be watched for her life but she has been cleared by the vet for adoption.
Poppy is crate-trained (although she doesn’t need it), spayed, vaccinated and heartworm negative.
