My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Name: Cowboy Carter (like the Beyonce album)
Age: Approx 10 months
Personality: Carter is a friendly and rambunctious boy! He showed up on our back porch, likely because he saw our cats in the window and decided this would be a good place to sleep. He may look older in photos, but he is a pretty small guy (especially compared to our other cats) and we think he is about 10 months old. Carter is also super friendly with other cats, negative for FIV and FELV, and a generally healthy and happy guy. He makes a lot of playful 'brrdrrt?' noises and clearly just wants to play, play, play (he is a kitten after all!) He would be excellent in a multi-cat household because he definitely wants playmates. He loves any sort of toy - especially ones on sticks and tunnels, but eventually he does tire out and takes long luxurious naps. He has been an angel and we know will make any family happy!
Unique qualities: Carter can do impressive backflips, loves to run really fast, and will talk to you! He is a lovebug who purrs a whole lot. He might growl occasionally when you go to pick him up (or one time when he heard the garbage truck? Which was a little strange!) but he's never vicious and over time he will become more and more comfortable in your home. It takes all of us a while to adapt to change, but he is a super easygoing cowpoke who is looking for his next rodeo.

All fosters under the San Antonio Feral Cat Coalition: Community Cat Adoption Program are fostered privately through foster homes.  They are spayed/neutered, given age appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped before adoptions are finalized.  SAFCC is a 501c3 non profit, all volunteer organization serving San Antonio and Bexar County, Texas.
