My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We adopted Rooster in September 2023. My wife was working from home at the time, which was working out in terms of having a dog. We now both work away from home and are forced to kennel him 8-9 hours daily. He’s not getting enough stimulation and naturally becomes destructive (chewing and digging). Rooster is primarily working breeds (ACD & lacy dog). We have a small backyard and are in a neighborhood. When we can run him and wear him out, he’s very well behaved.

Rooster has always been good with our son, who is 2. He’s like Velcro to our side, is very protective, attentive, smart, and energetic. He’s also fearless. The protective aspect is sometimes to a fault. He’s difficult to walk for this reason. He’s never shown any signs of aggression towards us, but it’s common behavior around strangers.

We’re looking for a new home due to busyness and an expanding family. He’s a good dog but needs more attention than we can currently provide.
