My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Join the club - Sam's Club, that is! He's a young rabbit with lots and lots and lots of energy. He's very friendly and hops over to say hi to anyone who stops by his enclosure. He will need a home where he has lots of room to run and play and burn off some of that energy. He's very curious and likely will get into some mischief, so bunny-proofing for him will be a must. Sam's Club is very enthusiastic about everything - toys, food, treats, people. He seems interested in his neighbors, and we think he would benefit from having a bunny friend he can play with. Talk with us today about scheduling an appointment to meet Sam's Club!

Sam's Club was in a foster home recently, and this is what they had to say about him: "Sam's Club likes to play with his toys by throwing them around. He really likes his little plastic cups. He also likes to run around and explore. He often comes up to us and likes to nibble on us for attention. He jumps onto our furniture and pulls our books off the shelf, which makes us laugh. He also moves things often with his teeth, which we find charming. Sam's Club is very food drive and curious. He likes to explore all spaces, which might be difficult when setting boundaries! He likes to chew on things, but having things like cardboard and toys available minimizes chewing of furniture. In the morning, Sam's Club is active and likes to have playtime as well as be fed greens and his pellets. He sleeps in the afternoon a lot but does also like to come out to play as well as eat more greens. He is usually active in the evening and night too.

Sam's Club is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated against RHDV2 (vaccine needs to be administered annually). House Rabbit Society recommends all rabbits see a rabbit-savvy veterinarian once a year.

More about this rescue

Since 1988, House Rabbit Society, its supporters, small staff, local chapters, licensed educators, and other volunteers around the globe have been advocating for the care and well-being of rabbits.

Our goal is to help people see rabbits as intelligent and social pets who thrive indoors. HRS’ mission, philosophy, and policies have influenced the formation of many other nonprofit rabbit rescue groups and set a standard for the treatment and respect of domesticated rabbits. As a nonprofit, we rely on membership support and other donations–large and small. HRS financial documents are provided below, which record our programmatic efforts over the past decade.
