My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, my name is Bandit, Mr. steal your heart, toys and treats! 😆😆❤️❤️. My age is approx 9months old. I am believed to be a dalmatian mix (DNA test pending)

A little about me I am a high energy dominant male dog, which means I need someone who can be an authority figure to me and tell me no, someone I can look at for corrections.( this does not mean i am a mean or aggressive dog) It means, when introducing me to new friends I need some time and a proper introduction, listen to me and watch my body language. I do get along well with all dogs I just tend to think I’m the one in charge, I only bark at the ones that I may feel threatened or intimidated by, but that doesn’t mean I’m not nice I just have a different love language then other dogs.

My perfect family would have a yard for me to play in, time to spend with me and hang out with me as I love to cuddle and receive pets and give kisses. I am very smart and learn well with consistency. I do well with crate time, once I’m in there treats help motivate me if I get in play mode and think that going in is a game, however if it’s feeding time, I go willing. 100% treat motivated. I will alert you that I have to go potty when I’m in my crate. I’m working on not having accidents. I do better when my water is managed so that I don’t have accidents. But best case scenario for everyone is if your home more than not so I don’t have to spend many hours crated.

Overall I’m a great boy. I have a big bark which is great for protecting my future family. All I need is proper introductions to future furry friends. So, if you have a yard, lots of time to hang out with me and walk me and watch me play with toys and bones and possibly a sibling.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our animals are kept in foster care until we find them the best forever home. All prespective adopters fill out our interest form and have a home check as well as a meet and greet with the animal they are considering adopting. A small adoption fee is asked for depending on the animal and it's age etc. An adoption contract is signed by both parties and if there is any issue with the animal after adoption the adopter agrees to return the animal to us.

More about this rescue

Our dream at Vegas Pet Rescue Project is to positively impact the Las Vegas homeless, abused and abandoned pets that overwhelm our shelter system by giving them a new lease on LIFE. Our primary focus will be to assist the local animal shelters (Animal Foundation and Henderson Shelter) with the pets who have been given limited time to be adopted before they are removed from the shelter system due to a multitude of reasons. We will accomplish this goal through our extensive network of foster families, donations, and sponsors. We would also like to help finance spay and neuter programs to help low income families be responsible pet owners and decrease the overpopulation issues we face in Vegas. We also feel it important to collect pet supplies and food for local rescues and the city’s Good Samaritans who foster rescue pets and take in strays. Eventually we would love to help create a volunteer based program to investigate and bring down illegal breeding. We have been helping the pet rescue effort in the city for 3 years now and feel like we are just getting started.
