Why I need a new home

Fostered

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I took Nola on as a foster from an abusive ex boyfriend of mine. He was physically and emotionally abusive to both her and I. I got out of the situation and he gave me a call 3 months later saying he was going to drop her at the humane society. I said I would take her in instead.

Her personality is out of this world. She is so funny and so loving. She is a true Doberman at heart and does require boundaries and a strong leader. I have thought about keeping her, but it makes traveling home to New York a lot more difficult.

I just am not sure about keeping her and she is so special she deserves someone who is all in for her and I want to put her out there to give her a chance of finding that.

She has some dog friends, but is dog selective. She is not a doggy park girl. But, she is not a reactive dog barking at everything either. I have been training her with treats around other dogs and she is doing very well. She is able to come on errands with me from target to petco easily.
