What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Winston is a good sweet old boy who has a lot of stress with other dogs, and has difficulty around kids and other animals. He has hip dysplasia, trouble with stairs, and doesn't like being picked up or held anymore. He has a tendency to snap if there is too much noise or hands in his face, so no kids. He would be best as a cherished and only pet in a quiet home with older adults. He can be a perfect companion for the right person. Loves watching Golden Girls and snuggling in a warm blanket. Crate trained and comes with all his favorite things. He used to be very active but slowed down recently. Happiest with short walks, but loves long ones in his stroller, sunning and fresh air.
He prefers real food, like chicken and vegetables and will avoid plain kibble. He has been with my family for over 10 years and it breaks our hearts that we can't keep him, but we have a toddler starting to walk. He is easily startled and snaps and chases if kids run away, and nips at heels. Hates dog parks!
