My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

There’s so much fun and love in Mumble Happy Feet. You can read all about it below. For the short version see his video here. Or read below and watch the longer video too! https://youtu.be/X2G8yAub7Fw?si=005vvrqC4rpHctPS

*************
What could be better than dancing with a dog named Happy Feet? Well of course it’s chilling on the couch after the dance! Mumbles Happy Feet loves both! He’s a young boy, about 2 years old, he’s curious, he investigates and assess the situation, then he wags his tail and wants you to be his friend. We call this big baby Mumble for short. He gets his name from mumbling when you’re getting his dinner ready, we’ve yet to catch it on video but when you hear it you’re going to give a great big smile! But too he'll make you smile when he starts dancing also! His favorite ball will get his feet to going too, he’s just so excited about his favorite things! You will soon be on the favorites list! He’ll greet you at the door dancing. He truly has the most adorable personality.

Part of Mumble’s personality is because he’s got some moves. Mumbles plays ball, he LIVES TO PLAY ball. See his moves in his video!

https://youtu.be/rSVGPmi800I?si=dCURVdu0sZkg6mB4

You will see, he’ll find his favorite ball and place it on the floor or couch and excitedly wait for you to notice. He’ll fetch the ball each time bringing it back to drop it and nudge it towards your feet. OH, but his ball skills don’t end there he can catch a ball mid-air, it’s a sight to see!

Mumbles good dog skills also extend to the leash, he loves family walks and he will jog if you ask him to.

Mumble is kennel trained, he goes in easily and is happily entertained with a Nyla bone. Mumble sleeps in his kennel at night, and stays in it while his foster is out of the house. Mumble knows sit and minds his manners by sitting for his dinner, he also sits when its time to go for a walk or when he’s at the back door going out for a break. Yes he’s house trained and has never had an accident in his foster home. He doesn’t scratch the door (or the frame/wall), he will go to the door and pace when he needs out.

Mumbles is fostered with a pair of older dogs who do not play, so he goes to play groups where’s he’s made friends, he loves playgroups with the ladies best. But you can see he also likes to just hang out and be a part of the crowd. He would like a dog friend in the home or doggie playdates. Mumble loves his people too. He cuddles with his foster mom. He has done well around children and would thrive with children in the home, especially if they will throw the ball for him! Mumble is the perfect balance of energy and chill time. He’s would do best in a home with a fenced yard where he can play ball and interact with his family. Then later settled down in the evenings to hang out and be a part of the family

Why adopt from Three Little Pitties?

The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it!

Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. This helps us learn deeply about every dog, prepare them for adoption, and ultimately match them with loving families. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be!

It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks:

• 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.)
• A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week)
• One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan
• 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan
• Coupons for a fun visit to Petco
• Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup!
