What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Bernice was originally taken in by my friends. They were worried she might scratch their newborn (human) baby, so they asked me to take her in while they found a new home for her. Understandably, they became distracted by raising their new child, so the task falls to me to find a new home for her. She is a beautiful and affectionate cat who loves to cuddle. She will sit happily on my chest for hours at a time. She is territorial and eventually learned to tolerate my cat, but they do fight sometimes. She also can get a bit bitey at times, but she has never intentionally hurt me. She is just a little moody, I suppose. She used to live with a dog and they seemed to get along fine. Please let me know if you have any specific questions about her! I can provide a potential new owner with a litter box, toys, and some other accessories. I would really love it if she found a loving home to continue her journey in. She is thought to be perhaps 3 or 4 years old, and remains active.
