My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

COURTESY POST – Ion and Squez– Available for Adoption (again)

UPDATED: Ion and Squez were adopted last year but due to some life changes in the family they are once again in need of a forever retirement home. The pair needs to be adopted together. They are 17 years old. Ion (F, gray) does continue to have some litter box issues, but uses the pee pad very well and has been more comfortable with it and sometimes even the litter box. Squez (M, white) has a bit of a tummy issue, but with enough water and some pumpkin puree he’s good! Overall, they’re both hearty and sweet, and just the best. They are both updated on their vaccinations.

BELOW IS THEIR PREVIOUS DESCRIPTION:

Due to the anxiety over the young children in the household, Ion (F) and Squez (M) are two bonded 16-year-old Scottish folds looking for a retirement home together. These two sweet, tiny 5 lb. kitties are calm, quiet and just plain adorable.

Since the birth of the 3-year-old, Ion and Squez have both been exhibiting litter box issues. It has been addressed by a veterinarian and there are no medical reasons for it. Since it only began when the child of the home was born it is believed that they will stop as soon as they are moved into a calm home with no young children.

The gray pointed ear is Ion (F) and the white folded ear is Squez (M). They have only been living together so there is no knowledge how they would do with other pets in the home. Due to their age and situation, we believe they would do best without other pets and in a quiet home. It would be their retirement home.

Ion and Squez are both pretty calm cats who enjoy sleeping in comfy spots. Ion loves to snuggle on your lap or tummy and has a funny preference that you have some kind of sheet on your lap or belly when you do! Squez likes to sit next to you on the couch or for snuggles. Both purr a lot! Ion makes an adorable, silent clicky sound for her meow and Squez sometimes meows when he wants wet food. They are short hair but their fur is very soft with a double layer. They aren't too good at jumping up on things and have short, squat bodies! They both enjoy catnip, but they don't really have favorite toys.

Ion (F) and Squez (M) are 16 years old, fixed, vaccinated and ready to find their forever home. If you are interested in meeting them, contact Boston's Forgotten Felines on Facebook or at catadoptions@bostonsforgottenfelines.org

Go meet their pets

We are not a shelter but a rescue group. Our cats are at different foster homes. Meet & greet will be coordinated between foster homes and potential adopters once an application is in place.

More about this rescue

Boston streets are flooded with homeless cats and kittens. Some were abandoned, while others are feral (offspring of those abandoned cats.) We are the Feral Cat Warriors who fight to help them survive every single day. Our aim is to ensure that feral cats have a stable and safe shelters, food and medical attention as needed and for strays/abandoned cats to be adopted.
