My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Animal Profile: Sysco is an estimated 5-month-old female spayed mixed breed (bully breed mix). She and her 3 siblings were surrendered to Freer Animal Shelter and were then taken in by our rescue partner in Texas. Sysco's litter mates came to DGS earlier this year and found homes but she had to be held back due to a skin condition. That's since been resolved and Sysco has spent seven weeks in foster care, with small-breed and large-breed dogs, cats, and of course humans. She loves everyone! She's good in the crate and house trained, gentle with small animals and playful with big animals. She is sweet, snuggly and playful -- the full package.

Foster Update:  If you are looking for action, Sysco is your girl!  She loves to join whatever is going on around her foster home. Sysco is playful, cuddly, and learns quickly. She is learning to fetch, and also plays solo with her toys. She likes to chase and rumble with our resident German Shepherd, and is practicing walking on a leash. Occasionally, she barks at strangers or other dogs on walks, but is easily redirected.  She knows how to use a doggie door and does well in her crate. She rests quietly all night and is ready for her walk in the morning!

Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.
