Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bodie (6 yrs old) has lived in a family home with 6 kids and has always been well loved. His temperament is very friendly toward people & animals, and is very calm for a red heeler. He's house-trained and loves his crate at night. He was good with kids to the point that our toddlers would grab his face with no reaction. However, he bit our kids 3 times in the past year on the hand or arm. Most recent was 6 weeks ago, with no issues since. Thankfully no serious injuries. But with young kids in the home, this is why we made the painful decision to rehome. We brought him to the vet for a full exam. She said Bodie is the best-natured red heeler she's examined, but he snipped at her when working with his rear hips. Her conclusions: he's a good dog overall. He's developing a hip issue, typical for age. The bites are understandable due to the situations, but also unpredictable so the safest option is to avoid small children. Crate & supplies included. Happy to answer questions! Come meet him!
